Open Jazz Class Tuesdays and Thursdays with Richard Amaro from 6:30pm – 8pm.
First two classes are complimentary for new students. If you will be attending a class for the first time, please email gaby@sanctuaryofthearts.org at least one hour before the class starts to reserve your spot.

Ray Sullivan
Artistic Director, Choreographer & Master Teacher Over the last thirty-five years Ray Sullivan has performed works by more than fifty choreographers in North America, South America, Asia and Europe. An internationally acclaimed, award-winning artist, he has choreographed fifty-two world premieres in the USA and internationally and performed with a long list of companies including five years with el Ballet Contemporáneo del Teatro San Martín in Argentina. He created Sullivan Technique of Contemporary Movement™ which he has taught internationally in renowned dance institutions including, The National Ballet of Chile, El Ballet Contemporáneo del Teatro San Martin in Argentina, Balletto Dell’Esperia in Italy, Ballet intensive from Moscow, on the faculty of Miami City Ballet School for four years, and Miami Contemporary Dance Company where he was artistic director for fifteen years. He holds a BFA in Dance from State University of New York at Purchase. He is currently artistic director of Ray Sullivan Dance & TANGO OUT. Mr. Sullivan is continually developing his body of work, receiving invitations to stage, choreograph, teach master classes, and lecture nationally and internationally. He believes in the connection of cultures for social change and his goal is to connect artists and cultural leaders globally through art. He works internationally with a special focus on connections throughout the Americas, while based in Miami, Santiago and Buenos Aires. Elizabeth Malm
Elizabeth Malm is a native Miamian. She graduated from New World School of the Arts where she was featured in work by guest choreographer Michael Utoff of the Arizona Ballet. She has danced with companies such as Momentum Dance, and Karen Peterson and Dancers, Ballet Florida, SoFlo Ballet, and Ballet Theater of Miami. She has choreographed many music videos, danced, and toured with artists such as Lenny Kravitz, Ricky Martin, Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction, Beastie Boys, Lil' Romeo, Jay-Z, Baha Men, Carlos Ponce, Jaime Camil, Tito Puente, Sam Beam and Kevens. She has also choreographed many commercials and television shows for Bud Light featuring Cedric the Entertainer, Virgin Mobile featuring Missy Elliot, Samsung, Lays, Herbal Essence, Pollo Tropical, "Truth", MTV, BET, CBS, Telemundo and Univision. She is currently teaching Jazz and Ballet in the Musical Theater Division at New World School of the Arts High School and College Division.
International Curriculum Consultant
Alice Arja is a dance teacher, choreographer and educator who graduated from the Centro de Dança Rio specializing in numerous courses. She is currently the General and Artistic Director of Cia de Ballet in Rio de Janeiro, founder and director of the Alice Arja Dance School, and instructor at the International Dance Relations in Brazil and at the Miami City Ballet School.
She holds certificates for National Training Curriculum from the American Ballet Theater, Ballet Methodology from the Cuban National Ballet, and many others. Arja created her own successful dance methodology training, the Alice Arja Education System, specializing and guiding dancers who are now in world-renowned dance schools and companies around the world, including her daughter, Nathalia Arja, a principal artist with MCB.
She currently has over 20 students dancing around the world for companies such as Miami City Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, Hamburg Ballet, Royal New Zealand Ballet, English National Ballet, Chilean National Ballet, and more.
Rates & Regulations
Class Prices
Virtual class (1 hour): $ 15.00 (start date - TBA)
In-person class (90 minutes): $ 20.00
Private classes (90 minutes): range from $60.00 ~ $120.00

Studio Registration Policies
No food, drinks (besides water) or street shoes are allowed in the studio space.
Masks must be worm at all times.
If a student causes a disruption in class, the instructor or other SOA staff may request tha they leave. Refund are not guaranteed.
Cancellations & Refunds
A 24-hour cancellation policy is in effect.
No refunds will be issed. In lieu of a refundm a credit will be issued for COVID related circumstances. Documentation must be provided.
If you signed up for an in-person class but cannot come due to COVID related issues, you can: use the $20.00 credit toward another class (a negative COVID test must be provided prior to rescheduling) or swith to a virtual class (you will receive $5.00 credit toward your next class.
Notes
Minimum age for classes at main campus ir 14.
Students 14-18 must have a liability waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian prior to participation.
